In the week leading up to the Summit I was reading about the wedding at Cana. No doubt we are all familiar with the story: Jesus turns ordinary water into wine as his very first miracle. It says in John 2:11, “This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.”
As I pondered the beautiful wedding venue that 300 Bravehearts would soon descend upon, this became my prayer, “Lord, reveal your glory and cause your disciples to believe you. Take our ‘ordinary’ and make it extraordinary.” And doesn’t God just love performing miracles at weddings?!
It is only four days post-Summit, and we have heard some of your stories – guts being healed, blind eyes being opened, and deep heart healings taking place. We rejoice, and we indeed saw His glory!
And not only that; we also gathered around His table, shared personal stories of breakthrough, rested together, enjoyed one another’s company, ate of His precious body and blood, ministered to one another, and worshiped Him. We were equipped under the Texas sun and felt the tangible and holy Presence of the Lord. We laughed and played our hearts out at the Braveheart Games.
We heard from so many precious people who are running hard, and yet doing so from a place of rest. TOGETHER, we were invited by the Lord to both rest and run – run with love and fervor back to the places that He’s called us to live out this Gospel.
As you read this, we pray that you know how very much we love you and how thankful we are that you came and trusted us enough to open your heart. I’m still in such awe of the beautiful army that Jesus assembled from all over the US and beyond…wow! He’s so good. We bless you to remember and worship Him for what He did, and we bless you to carry His Gospel hand and hand with your brothers and sisters.
Until next year…
With love,
Kristi & Peter and the Braveheart Team
