The Garden is about that place of unashamed intimacy and fellowship with God. Before mankind ever sinned, he enjoyed fellowship and connection with his Creator. Most of us long to experience that kind of oneness with God but we feel lost and unable to find our way back to that place. For many of us we have assumed that the Gospel story starts with the fall of man. With Adam and Eve being deceived and eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But before the Fall, there was a garden. And in that garden was God and man enjoying each other in innocence and perfection. This study begins with the Garden because this is what we are all journeying towards…the heart of God.

Think about this -

1. Why do you think God created man and woman in the first place?
2. Imagine how God related to Adam and Eve before the fall. How would he have looked at them and what would they have talked about in the garden together?
3. Finally, imagine how Adam and Eve related to God before the fall. Did they shrink back in shame whenever God came into the garden? Would they have been excited to see him? Did they run and wrap their arms around him?
